Chatty Dinners
Created by Sandrine Jaouen and Jacques Safi
We are proposing chatty dinners around an inspirational person from the world of art, culture and respect for life. These dinners take place in inspiring and inspiring places that have a special soul. We work with small-scale producers who respect the earth, in particular by working with permaculture.
The result is a menu that showcases our wild heritage, local produce and respect for the seasons.
local produce and respect for the seasons. The dinners bring together between 15 and 20 people to
keep things simple and authentic. For the dinner on Tuesday 9 July, the idea is to theme, that of a ghost dinner, or the art of reconnecting with ancestors through their recipes their recipes.
Conviviality, pleasure for the eyes and astonishment for the taste buds will be the key words. On the table, dishes that no longer quite belong to our world… where the tastes, colours, smells and textures where tastes, colours, smells and textures will be the focus of attention… savouring recipes that are a link with our ancestors.
Preparing a dinner for ghosts or for the living is not so different. It’s all about a question of pleasure, care and generosity… Images from the past mingle with dreams and help the meal… with recipes drawn from ancestral traditions, culinary superstitions and culinary superstitions and memories brought back by chance encounters…
