The contents of the Abou Debs collection The contents of the Abou Debs collection. The collection assembled by the Oriental Library includes paper documents, photographs and audiovisual material covering all the stages in the career of the great theatre-maker Mounir Abou Debs.

The paper documents consist mainly of 260 manuscripts and typescripts of adapted and translated plays, as well as plays, poetry collections and essays written by Abou Debs, alongside administrative and media documents relating to the various workshops, schools and festivals he founded. In addition, there are some 1,460 photographs taken by Derounian, focusing on the first phase of his work. The photographic collection of Amer Salem, who accompanied the last period of Mounir Abou Debs’ work at Fraykeh, will complete this first collection. In addition, a collection of around 300 sound tapes, audio and video cassettes, CDs and DVDs will enable visitors to rediscover Abou Debs’ work and his audiovisual universe, as well as interviews and documentaries on his career.
