Childhood is once again in search of belonging in Farika Amin al-Rihani and Mounir Abou Debs

Children recently visited Maison Fraykeh, the cultural residence of Amin al-Rihani, a pioneering Arab-American writer, and Mounir Abou Debs, a prominent Lebanese theater director. The visit offered the young attendees a unique look into the lives and contributions of these two influential figures in Arab literary and artistic history. Through interactive activities and storytelling, the children explored al-Rihani’s role in modern Arabic literature and his advocacy for East-West dialogue, as well as Abou Debs’ innovations in theater that helped shape modern Lebanese performing arts. This immersive experience at Maison Fraykeh aimed to inspire and educate the young generation about their cultural heritage.
